BP Portrait Award 2011

The annual BP Portrait Award is the most prestigious portrait competition in the world, promoting the very best in contemporary portrait painting. From 2372 international entries, the judges selected a final 55 works to be displayed in the National Portrait Gallery in London from 16th June – 18th September 2011.
Among the final works selected is a portrait of hip hop performer Scroobius Pip by my friend Leigh Glover.

Points of View: Capturing the 19th Century in Photographs

This exhibtion is drawn from more than 300,000 ‘hidden’ images held at the British Library and shows how the art developed from its invention in 1839 by Louis Dageurre to its commercial usage at the end of the 19th century.

Three Color Curl by Walhead Beshty

New Photography 2009 exhibtion is a display of recent work in photography that attempts to examine and expand the conventional definitions of the medium. Six artists are represented in this installation—Walead Beshty, Daniel Gordon, Leslie Hewitt, Carter Mull, Sterling Ruby, and Sara VanDerBeek. Saatchi Gallery – Abstract America : New Paintings and Sculpture

The Saatchi Gallery’s third exhibition – Abstract America : New Paintings and Sculpture – runs until Jan17th 2010 and presents a selection of emerging art from 32  american artists.
The exhibition highlights the ambition and breadth of new ideas being explored by American artists such as Francesco DiMattio and Gedi Sibony, Aaron Young and Agathe Snow from New York, Guerra de la Paz from Miami, and Mark Grotjahn and Sterling Ruby from Los Angeles.
